Blumenfeld and Associates, a Stamford, Conn., PR firm, aided a team of eye care professionals who
provided examinations, eyeglasses and cataract surgeries to 700 villagers in Nepal's remote Mustang
region in late May.

The "2013 Gift of Sight Expedition" team of ophthalmologists was from the New York Eye and Ear
Infirmary. Free eye screening camps were set up in three villages followed by a two-day field surgery clinic. The Blumenfeld firm, headed by Jeff Blumenfeld, promoted the expedition and filed daily updates that were posted on www.dooleyintermed.org and the outdoor website www.TheActiveTimes.com.

Marketing support was provided to “Gift of Sight” sponsors Sherpa Adventure Gear, De Lorme satellite communications, and LOKSAK, producers of waterproof storage bags.
