BIKE FOR NEPAL

Mountain trekking and climbing workers in Nepal who take care of visitors from all over the world have little education, low and irregular income, and poor health care.  When they get sick, injured or grow old, they suffer loss of income.  Their poverty results in poor education for their children perupetating a vicious cycle.

We are creating a micro enterprise in Nepal for the wives of mountain workers to create an alternative and regular source of income, in partnership with Mission Himalaya (www.facebook.com/MissionHimalaya) and Dooley Intermed (www.dooleyintermed.org) .  From July 6 – 15, I am cycling UK from end to end (Land’s End to John o”Groats) to create awareness and raise funds for this project.  Our target is $15,000.  Please contribute generously!
