Over the past eight years, the Maternal Home of Waspam, which is located next to the Santa Ines Clinic has helped save the lives of hundreds of vulnerable pregnant women and their newborns; has protected 3000 children from becoming orphans; has referred and facilitated the transportation of many high obstetric risk patients to a second-level hospital in the regional capital of Puerto Cabezas; has provided hundreds of health, hygiene and childcare education sessions; and has distributed 18,267 nutritious meals, as well as personal and baby care items to its underprivileged indigenous residents.Your generous support will continue this important and lifesaving program.
